COSTUME

For the singer we wanted to keep her style more casual. with her wearing jeans, leggings and crop tops. therefore the audience can relate and idolise the artist and their styles  and to also emphasuse he casual setting of the party. In addition the styles we are basing it on the styles of Rihanna and Zendaya whose styles are quite urban, trendy and appeal to the same age group

For our Digipak we found that usually the pictures of the artist and their styling reflects what the album is about. We want an outfit loose fitting, flowy and white to capture the ideas of freedom and spirituality inspired by the orginal artist of the song Jhene Aiko

We want Leilya to seem almost tomboyish  and have her wear dark clothing during the dance scene as it links it to the message we want to portay of power and confidence. Also we want her to wear a leather jacket and tight jeans give off the impression of a 'femme fatale' persona as it the leather makes her seem tough but the fitted clothing will show her body shape which higlights her femininity

We also want her to wear a flowy skirt to portay her as more young, girly, innocent and almost vunerable in a sense if you look at a traditional view of this type of clothing, this is so when she is singing the lyrics to the audience they can sympathise and really connect with her. However we still want to keep it trendy and urban  to stay with her image so we will pair the skirt with a crop top which is very popular among youth culture

We decided that we would want our digipak to be black and white so therefore we want black and white clothing.  This is because we feel it is quite serious and solemn and reflects the tone of the songs on the album that are about themes such as heartbreak
