CONSTRUCTION OF THE DIGIPAK

Firstly we brainstormed idead and drew a rough design of what we wanted to create.

We first found a template for the digipak on google, it consisted of six sides including where the holder for the CD would be. We opened up this template in adobe photoshop as we found this would be th easiest way to eventually create our own digipak

Next we had a photoshoot in a local park and under a brigde as we felt these were the gritty down to earth settings we wanted to portray From the 30 images we took we narrowed it down to 6 for each space in the digipak.After we edited the images on VSCO cam all seperatley,changed them to black and white. Through the software called Picmonkey on the back panel we added a tracklist in white font to help it stand out. Whereas on the front we made the title blend into the background so it almost juxtaposed the meaning of the title ' unforgettable'.

SWEET LIKE CHERIE- from the poem 'Lovliest of trees, the cherry now' by ALfred Houseman
SURVIVOR - From Destiny's Childs studio album. We choose this becuase it reflects the power of women rejcting stereotypes associated with weakness.
BIGGEST FAN - We used this as a way to connect to 'Fan girls' and make them part of our target audience
MAY I- A sweet love
TOO COOL- This gives our album an urban twist of how relationships for teenagers are stereotypically represented in society. from jhene Aiko's alblum sail out
The last step was to make a prototype of our digipak in order for it to be shown to a focus group to get feedback on it. We printed out the digipak to A4 size, carefully cut it out and glued it together to cardboard to make it more durable
